Priority Acquires PASYS

Alpharetta, GA-based Priority Payment Systems continued the expansion of its Financial Institutions division with the acquisition of Atlanta-based PASYS, LLC.

"The addition of PASYS and its president, Michael Higgins, adds valuable community bank relationships and experienced leadership to Priority's Financial Institutions unit," noted Priority President and CEO, John V. Priore. Higgins is a 25-year veteran of the payments industry who prior to founding PASYS, led similar business units at First Data and Elavon. At Priority, he will serve as Vice President of Financial Institutions and be responsible for community banks and healthcare providers.

"The PASYS team's core expertise within the financial institutions area will certainly help accelerate our business goals within this critical arena," added Priore.

About Priority Payment Systems

Since its inception in 2005, Priority Payment Systems has established itself as a leading innovator in the electronic payments industry. Priority's MX payment technology is the clear choice for today's efficiency driven merchants as it integrates point-of-sale processing with inventory control, consumer loyalty tracking, currency conversion, invoicing and payment reconciliation. The combination of its "consumer inspired" products, first class service and support and competitive pricing has made Priority the high-value partner for banks and financial institutions, independent sales organizations (ISOs), sales agent offices, and associations and referral partnerships nationwide.

Priority's unique transaction platforms support both business-to-consumer and business-to-business transactions. The 2012 Nilson Rankings places Priority among the top 40 consumer transaction processors by volume and as one of the industry's fastest growing processors over the past five years.
