Priority Adds Financial Officer to Management Team
Industry veteran fills key role in time of company growth
Alpharetta, GA-based Priority Payment Systems, one of the top 50 bank card processors in the nation, has added Bruce Mattox, a key member to its management team. Mattox, an Atlanta native, has been hired as Priority's new Chief Financial Officer.
Mattox entered the merchant acquisition space in 1996 as a Controller and Director for the First Data Merchant Services and Wachovia Bank Alliance. Prior to this, he was the Vice President and Divisional Controller for Wachovia Bank of Georgia's card issuing program. Mattox has also held a variety of senior finance management positions with GE Capital's card issuing and retail finance business.
During his career, Mattox has been responsible for controllership of commercial loan portfolios, treasury and bank fund operations, business mergers and acquisitions and new product initiatives.

Mattox is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia, a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and is certified in Six Sigma process management. He is an avid baseball and softball enthusiast and shares these passions with his wife Kathy and two children.
