Get Ready for the Second Annual American Express Small Business Saturday
American Express is kicking off the holiday shopping season with the second annual Small Business Saturday. On November 26th, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, shoppers are encouraged to spend their money at their favorite local stores.
To encourage local shopping, American Express is offering a $25 statement credit to cardholders who spend that amount or more at a local store on Small Business Saturday. In 2010, small businesses saw a 28% increase in sales paid by American Express compared to the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2009.
Your store can join this effort to invigorate the economy and support local communities across the country. At www.facebook.com/shopsmall you can promote your small business and take advantage of free tools like free signage and Facebook ads to remind your customers about this special offer.
